Pictures of the Colby James West Pro Model have been about and the ski was on show at last weeks ISPO show.  But here are some more details following from Kastles announcement.  Being a huge Kastle fan this is music to my ears.

The handcrafted ski retains the long tradition of quality skis from this Austrian company.  Featuring Hollowtech technology, full rocker and twin tip.

The line consists of 3 models, the XX80 Colby, XX90 James and XX110 West.  The XX80 Colby (111-80-111) features a standard camber profile with fast grip twin tip technology and is designed specifically for the pipe and slopestyle. The XX90 James (120-90-120) equiped with low camber, early rise, hook free twin tips, its an all mountain park ski, providing the perfect all mountain weapon. The XX110 West (134-110-134) also features low camber and early rise, hook free twin tips and is the devoted powder ski within this line.  The XX110 looks sweet as, I cant wait to test them

“Our objective for the 2012-13 expansion into twin tips was to find a strong partner on the development side. Colby fit the bill both an experienced competitor and athlete, his insight into refining the models, and explaining what was needed for the best performance proved integral,” states Kästle President, Siegfried Rumpfhuber. “Our overall brand focus is on keeping Kästle’s inherent characteristics of performance and technology while refining our product offerings and addressing a wider skier base.”
